Faith, pure and simple, in the God of all Gods. Yahweh, David's deliverer. No shield, and no armor was needed. God had saved this shepherd before, and God wouldn't leave David alone. He would fight the battle for David. Goliath, the giant, would perish at the hands of The King of Kings. Victory was already in David's hands.
