I was in Jasper National Park in the middle of September and the aspen trees were just in their prime autumn foliage. I shot a lot of their brilliant yellow canopies almost every morning and afternoon. This particular stand was beside the road next to Medicine Lake. Because of the slope I was able to shoot across into the trees instead of standing looking from below all the time. The afternoon sun was shining through the leaves from behind and a bit of the lake can be seen in the background. No filters. No colour manipulation. Just Fujichrome Velvia 50.
