Moel Siabod

This is a sketch taken from the summit of one of the outlying hills of Snowdon in North Wales. At the base of the hill was a slate quarry, long disused, and you can still see with a little imagination, where the tramways ran. All is now back to nature, but I painted it as I imagined it might have looked many years ago. This is a small work on mounting board, using watercolours and gouache.
