Glowing, rich siennas and cool ultrmarine tints convey the heat filled haze shimmering on the mountains. The odour of camel dung and the murmuring of the men deep in conversation. The long shadows suggest it's well past noon.Beautifully atmospheric! Love it!

Bedouins tribes are so very interesting, their nomadic lifestyles make it necessary to gather for chats like this from time to time... They live unen#@&bered by material possessions - bound by kinship and livelihood to the desert. - The colour values you have used in this painting are so warm and inviting and the smile on their faces so friendly and open.. Your work with shadows is AWESOME! This is a MARVELOUS watercolour Francis, I love it!! :o)

Artist Reply: You are very knowledgeable Les, Bedouins live in their own world.

Love that red francis very nice counterpoint with the blues reply to this question - do you work from photos? or is it imagination?

Artist Reply: I work from the sketches because it's very dusty out there. Most of the painting I done on the spot.
