On Dry Land

Designed by Hans Trippel, built in West Germany during the 1960s, the Amphicar was the worlds only amphibious personal car. A rear mounted Triumph Herald engine provided the power to travel at about 70 MPH on land or 6.5 knots in water. It sold for under $3,000 when new.
