it's one of those things... times when things don't flow. you know it's there, but where? so you sit and stare at blank white or old art..... you know the story! so here is a 3am sketch during one of those moments... it's been digitally altered in photoshop. painted with watercolor on index paper. in the background is a fingerprint above the shoulder. it's a kept accident not painted over. sort of a accidental signature...

Magical image! Unblocking by painting yourself painting your self painting yourself being blocked... I tell my writing students that a block is when we want to be somewhere other than where we are. I also love the fingerprint you included. In the creative flow there are no mistakes.marc doutherd 27 Jun 2005

hehehe... oh i hate when this sort of block happens! but you know something? the lovliest thing abotu this is that the creativitiy seems to be flourishing all around the room, over flowing in every direction, except for this poor woman who remains a thorn amidst this creativity. shes blocked off. while life blooms, it stays clear of 'her'. Perhaps her reddish stance indicated her dry frustration? And perhaps she can see her emptiness reflected in her mirror-canvas on the table? Youve captured this dilema so so so well barbara... well done indeed!Thomas Broadfoot 26 Jun 2005
