Thilo Steinschulte 2005 (Gifted)

Thilo Steinshulte, an architech immigrant from Germany, settled in Alexandria 50 years ago. He collected art in all forms and generously donated to the Alexandria Museum of Art which he supported like all local arts institutions. His recent death was a great loss to the community.

A powerful and compassionate portrait of a local arts philanthropist. The eyes are kindly and the mouth, humourous. I like the spiriutual blues used in this composition. Love it!
