Steamed Grass Anyone

A chocolate Brown Grizzly enjoying some grass and grubs near a small vent geyser on the east banks of Yellowstone Lake. Grizzlies are omnivores , which means they eat grass, berries,as well as protein(animals, grubs) unlike their cousins the Alaskan Brown Bears which eat mainly salmon(protein) which is why they are nearly twice the size of the interior grizzly ..a lot of the early food a grizzly will eat when they come out of hibernation is berries, grasses etc. Now, you only have to ask yourself one question..Can you run faster than 35mph??? HE CAN...

Okay ... Wow! He is looking right at you! and Everyone knows (i hope) you don't try to out run a bear! they have bad eye site you try to make yourself look as large as possible, make a lot of noise and try to scare them off.. best you can do.. can't out run them, or out climb them.. This young fellow looks so 'cute' - he looks like his fur has a light dusting of mist from the steam rising up from the geyser! What a GREAT photograph!! Excellent!! :o)

Artist Reply: I think I read the fastest that a runner can run is about 15mph so a bear just has to lope along..lol
