One of the first pastel paintings I have done, I felt that it would look best to paint this piece without alot of detail cluttering up the space. I had experimented with pastels before and loved the subtle blends (along with the vibrancy) that were possible. (Besides, it required lots less work than if I would've used colored pencil on this piece).
