Reminds me of the fishing boats I've seen along the way. Nice story. Great lines, contrast and motion. Cool picture.

Very detailed work... I can just feel every texture you've painted here.

Artist Reply: Thank you :) It is actually very thick paint in some places.

Skillful work that shows a great sense of composition and detail! The shades of blue you've used in this pic bother me a bit though... In my opinion, the blue of the sky is too pale and the one of the sea looks too 'bright' to be natural, if you understand what I mean... Otherwise, the foreground is gorgeously painted and the yellow of the fishermen's trousers gives a lot of realism and 'vitality' to the scene. ;-)

Artist Reply: I see what you mean now... was looking at the original and it didnt look that bright. So i guess it's camera's fault :) I also fixed the horizon... raised it a bit so now that deck curtain doesnt look like a wave or distant hills anymore. Now I'm wondering if i should update the pic :)

well done i like this type of scene reminds me of my younger days working on fishing boats

Artist Reply: Thank you :) It must have been fun, working on sea has always been my secret desire... :)

I love the blues and the way that you have balanced the sky's colour with the boats, and the far fishermans trousers are a cooler yellow. I was worried about the big wave on the horizon though, untill I realised that it was the furled sail! :)

Artist Reply: Hehe originally that sail (deck cover actually) looked like hills on the horizon, so i gave it a darker colour... never thought of a wave. I agree the composition is a bit weird, with the cover supports coinciding with horizon and lamppost... funny how things turn out, it was not intentional, but when i noticed it i decided to leave it there :)

Wonderful detail and color!

Wow, really beautiful, especially that boat. The whole thing sort of feels more like gouache than acrylic.

Artist Reply: Thank you so much... I have very little experience with gouache, so i couldn't say, but i assure you it is acrylics, very thickly laid.
