Eyes of Humanity

Available Original Art
MEDIUM/GROUND: assemblage - pine board, cheese cloth, nail gun strip, broken mirror, floor tile, foam board, acrylic paint and gel medium, cut paper, fortune cookie paper.

SIZE: 23"x12"x1 1/4"

DESCRIPTION:

The words placed through the scene are ... "Look into your own eyes and see the fragments of humanity." On the left side of the piece is a fortune cookie paper that reads ... "Cleaning up the past will always clear up the future". This work was created as a contemplation on the events of WWII, but speaks for all time. Each person is a single fragment of the picture of humanity. When the viewer stands before the art work he is faced with the image of his own eyes distorted within the mirror. The viewer then, for a time, becomes a part OF the art!

perfection......

Artist Reply: Thank you so much! I wish you could stand in front of it to see all the copies of your own eyes looking back -- always makes folks stop in thier tracks and that's just FUN, lol! :)

Love the broken mixed media fragments in a non-contained format.

Artist Reply: I think mirrors in art work are very interesting. We often avoid our own images yet find it hard to look away.
