A Miniature oil Postcard of the road from Te Anau to Milford Sound. 2005 Oil on Canvas Panel 7" x 5" Fourteenth New Zealand landscape oil painting and this time a miniature. I thought I would put in a few small ones for fun and this is the first. A tiny little 7" x 5" oil featuring a Michael's eye view of the fabulous scenery between Te Anau and Milford Sound. I spent a lot of time by the side of the road looking up at clouds miraculously forming straight off the tops of mountains, quite a novel experience for someone from hot, sea level, very snowless Perth in Australia. Anyway, after travelling through Austria and Switzerland last year, (I have a few painting ideas on the back burner for there) I have been hankering to have a crack at some snow and mountain country - so for better or worse here goes!
