This portrait was completed in Acrylic on 22"X28" linen canvas for a couple from New York. When the baby came for sittings it was extremely difficult to capture her becuase she was very hyperactive. I finally caught this expression and she held it for a while and decided to paint it. The couple were very pleased with the resemblance. I used very fine sable brushes with thick paint out of the tube for a rich lush detailed effect. It was my first attempt at portraiture and i finally got a new digital camera and was able to get a decent photo to upload. Many more paintings to follow. Copyright Justin Michael Jenkins.
