Another image borrowed from Lauren Greenfield's photo essay of Girl Culture. This image took me back to the days of "Nights In White Satin" where the last dance was always Chicago's "Color My World." As I recall, they were filled with great expectations which ended in the reality of the school gym, canned music, paper decorations, and the same dorky boys and girls we always were, not transformed in the psychedelic lights. I think this girl is somewhere else, in her great expectations still, lost to the boy holding her.
