I worked on the 3D project today and think I made some headway---with the head, at least. But I managed to work on this starting just after dinner until a few minutes ago. My back has been bad these last few days as has my energy level, so I'm thankful this came out as well as it did. Eye contact is important in the world of man. Someone said you can't trust a person who can't look you in the eye and I think that hits the nail on the head. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium weight acid-free paper. Original Jones Art still doing what he loves in northwest Austin, Texas. If only marginally.

This look truly suits him, Charles. I hope you feel better soon.

Artist Reply: Sorry if I sounded a bit of a sad sack in my blurb, Laura. I just like the viewers to know what the overall mood of the artist was at the time of a piece's creation. I think it gives insight that no amount of art babble 30 years hence can give. Especially as regards my type of work. Thank you for your concern. I hope you are doing well. PS: I'm a bit better today. :)

Humphrey Bogart, I recognized that Phrase,... Here's looking @ you Kid, yes 1942 Hollywood movie, I've seen many times, a real Classic, when they were Toasting , with Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca , You even got him to somewhat Resemble Boggy, FANTASTIC! play it again sam....

Artist Reply: Any similarity to the Great Bogart is purely coincidental, Al. The phrase seemed to fit the piece and, of course, like you, I hold that film in high regard. It is a study in ensemble acting. Today's directors should study it long and hard. But then most of them don't direct. They just herd cats. :)

Nice blue sky and sentiment , Charles : ) Hope you have a good weekend working on your 3D, weather permitting.

Artist Reply: That may be the last sky I get out of the blue gel pen from the last ditch Goodwill--but I found another one there that may take its place. Goodwill has been very good to me of late. I found many glass beads and bits my last trip with Ms. Cortes. Hope your Friday is a superior one, Dave. :)

Looks like the heavenly skies over your head have cleared out , Charles! We are also enjoying the weather.

Artist Reply: Now if I can just get those cobwebs out of my head, I'll be peachy, Nikolay. Cool mornings and cooler days are a great relief around here. With a bit more rain, it would Paradise Regained. Wherever we are, there's weather. :)
