I thought it was about time to put up another monochromatic piece using gel pen and gray Crayola. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Some day that might mean something. Original Jones Art is still kicking and producing here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Face as control panel. Indeed! Sometimes more complicated than the one of a contemporary fighter-bomber. Hope you new week will be as productive as this one, Charles!

Artist Reply: Thanks, Nikolay! Kind of you to say. I'll do what I can. You do the same. :)

Are these keys to a riddle? Symbols are fascinating for sure. Take care Charles.

Artist Reply: Perhaps, John. Or it's merely an old man having fun with his pen the way a young man used to have fun also. But we won't go into the symbolism that activity suggests. There was an art movement by that name in the late 19th Century that rejected the surface of things and looked for inner depth. Man, we could use a little depth these days, I think. Hope you are doing well. :)

He has a shaman look, Charles and seems to be centered in his now : ) . Effective dot particle sky adds to this as well as the subtle crayon shading . Hope your day wasn't too hot. We had some rowdy T- storms here in the afternoon but all quiet now on the midwest front.

Artist Reply: He was almost a somnambulist but I figure there are several billion of those already, Dave. No use to crowd the field. This afternoon my neighborhood had a few drops fall from a cloudless sky. Is this a sign, a symbol or merely nature playing with us? Hope we are all ready for Manic Monday. :)
