It's the kind of face that wouldn't change perceptibly during a zombie apocalypse or a mother-in-law's surprise visit. It's the next best thing to being cast in bronze. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art still searching for clues in northwest Austin, Texas.

I feel something melancholy in the face

Artist Reply: Ssshhhh, Mr. Wu. You wouldn't want to give the in-joke away, now would you? Hope all is going well on your thin slice of the planet. :)

A STONE FACE BUT TEARS IN HIS EYE. SOMETHING GOING ON FOR SURE.

Artist Reply: There's always SOMETHING going on behind the scenes, Joanie. He just doesn't reveal too much of it on the surface. Hope all is going good today. :)

A stone face for sure that I wouldn't take for granite, Charles : ) Most expressive work ! Hope you're enjoying your Tuesday !

Artist Reply: Even granite wears away over time, Dave. Things/conditions can last a long time but nothing lasts forever. That can be viewed both positively and negatively simultaneously, I think. The scanner 'loses' some of the subtle coloring but it's pretty close. I'm due to get my 'new' pencils today---Hurray! Ha. :)
