Early on, I had uploaded a few images from the Nineties here on Artwanted. It wasn't a very productive decade by yours-truly. I was working at a custom frame shop and I find, looking through the notebook, that a lot of the drawings were produced on the back of scrap acid-free matboard. I culled a few of the best from the meager herd and figure I'll upload them soon. This is an 8 by 7.5 inches drawing on acid-free paper. Original Jones Art is going back a few decades just to fill in some gaps in northwest Austin, Texas.

Absolutely evolving a couple of misteries, Charles! Amazing!

Artist Reply: Thank you, Nikolay! At least with these monochromatic pieces, I don't have to worry about the scanner getting the colors right. Yeah, I'm glad I shared these, if only to remind me of my artistic past. Hope all is going great in your thin slice of the world. :)

DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WETE THINKING AT THE TIME BUT REALLY NICELY DONE CHARLES.

Artist Reply: I was probably just enjoying the process, Joanie. Also, that was the month/year my one and only foray into matrimony was dissolved. Looking back now, I probably wasn't very happy so I retreated into one of my favorite pastimes. Hope you are doing great. :)

Very impressive work, Charles ! wonderfully surreal ... also your pen cross hatching is super : )

Artist Reply: Well, after perusing that old notebook, I thought it might be interesting to show folks that my placing things on a simplified landscape with mountains and clouds wasn't a fly-by-night endeavor. This is one of the largest I'm going to upload. Most of the others might be defined as snippets. Hope everything is working for Dave today.
