This little tidbit was part of a backing sheet I'd been using for quite a few of my recent drawings. I had been adding little marks here and there to make sure the ink was flowing properly. And then I thought I'd share it just because of the spontaneity in it. This is a 9 by 3.5 inches gel pen drawing on regular bond paper and a somewhat gibberish example of something approaching Original Jones Art here in northwest Austin, TX.

This is what I really like, Charles! A good proof of my strong belief that real art is predominantly occasional. Have a pleasant weekend!

Artist Reply: Nikolay, you are probably right in that we have a tendency to try too hard and in the wrong direction. That being said, art IS something wherein practice does NOT necessarily make perfect---uh, whatever 'perfect' is. Regarding a pleasant weekend, I'll start off the way I usually do---staying away from newsfeeds. Hope you are doing great. :)

I like it, Charles . Interesting how it developed : ) We're cold again , then will warm up hopefully Cheers to your Friday !

Artist Reply: It doesn't happen that often, Dave. Most times the scribbles just remain scribbles and are discarded. Maybe I'm too selective? Heck, we're already thinking of AC's down here. Sheesh! :)
