When I was a kid there was a comedian with a sad-sack face who appeared on variety shows. He disappeared from the limelight rather soon after. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen with Crayola Twistable grey on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art still thinks those with the greatest insight have the saddest hearts here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Charles, you have two worlds that I see in your drawing

Th sadness of the whole wide life is cleary vivid in your drawing, Charles. And the night has come... Well, you can't be happy without bein sad. At times. How's the week starting?

Artist Reply: Today was pretty quiet and the weather has warmed. It was in the 80's, Nikolay. Hope all is well. :)

Very effective contrast , Charles ... especially like the background . I vaguely remember someone like that comedian you mentioned. I was more of a Moms Mabley guy myself : )

Artist Reply: I had some trouble naming this one, Dave. I thought he looked more than a little miserable and clown-like but decided not to call him The Clown. Oh, well. It's only one of many faces over several years, after all. Hope all is good to the north. It's in the 80's here. :)
