I know I should have given him a beard and a tat or two, but I just couldn't make myself do it. It seems the generations after mine, the baby boomers, have gone from the me generation to the ME ME ME generations. They are not happy. They are miserable. They are quite possibly NOT hip but they could very well be hopheads. And I'm not talking beer. There as several causes. The two most obvious to me are smartphones and social media. And I still can't understand why they named it that when there's very little real socializing to it. It's more like self-isolation in a group environment. This is an 8.25 by 5.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art, still 'hip' to a few things in northwest Austin, Texas.

Beautiful Charles;D

Artist Reply: Thanks, Ray! Very much appreciated. Have a good one, as they say. :)

The guy seems too proud of being alone or even lonely. His pursed lips snow that and he is about to spit on what he sees. Enjoy your spring weekend, Charles!

Artist Reply: You could very well be correct, Nikolay. If I didn't like words and communication so much, I could just number the pieces and let the chips fall where they may. Hope all is going well. We had some nice rain in the early morning hours---which will be sorely needed later in the year. :)

He doesn't look like he could even use a cell phone Charles : ) or do much walking up that incline lol . Still most expressively done as usual . I'm part of the baby boomers and yes sir, no cell phone, computer, social media etc . And we really did "go fly a kite" for fun among many other things in our simpler world. Hope all is going well for you : )

Artist Reply: Well, within his world, he's not as handicapped as he might first appear, Dave. He might just roll down the hill with ease, being very adept at taking the path of least resistance. I guess you noticed the AI addition that AW has implemented, on the subject of what is and what isn't artificially created. Hope things are going well today. :)
