n this piece of artwork, I delve into the universal issue of harassment and abuse against women, a tragic reality that persists relentlessly in our society. Drawing inspiration from the popular narratives found within Indian Mythology, I strive to capture the disturbingly deteriorating situation of the female gender, in a world that claims to have made significant progress. My painting serves as a platform to shed light on the countless stories of harassment and abuse that women face on a daily basis. As an artist, I firmly believe in the power of storytelling to bring attention to social injustices and ignite conversations for change. Through this thought-provoking work, I aim to connect both emotionally and intellectually with my audience. The female gender has long been subjected to numerous challenges and societal prejudices, and sadly, this struggle still persists today. In my painting, I aim to transcend time, conveying the notion that the fight for justice and gender equality is an ongoing battle that spans generations. Indian Mythology is a vast reservoir of tales that are deeply rooted in cultural beliefs and traditions. These stories are not only captivating but also serve as mirrors reflecting the complex realities within society. They provide a fitting backdrop for me to explore the issue of harassment against women, as they often contain powerful female characters, both divine and mortal. In my painting “Justice,” I embark on a deeply introspective journey, addressing the universal issue of harassment and abuse against women. By drawing inspiration from the rich narratives of Indian Mythology, I strive to unveil the ever-worsening plight of the female gender, emphasizing the urgent need for change and societal introspection. Through the power of art and storytelling, I hope to inspire empathy, empathy that will engender a collective determination to dismantle the barriers hindering the progress of women. Let us join forces to create a world where justice prevails, and the empowerment of women becomes an unassailable truth. I use hues of orange, ochre, amber and sienna with a contrast of red, blue and yellow to bring out the best in the composition. To symbolize the pursuit of perfection within the modern human race, I use my signature style of symmetrical forms like squares, rectangles, checks, and butterflies to cover the human figures in my paintings. These geometric shapes represent the desire for flawlessness and balance, encapsulating the aspirations and struggles we all face as individuals striving for fulfillment.
