After having come up with the title, I looked up the accepted usage of 'withering eye.' One can use this phrase to describe a facial expression of extreme disapproval or disdain. But this character appears to have actual physiological attributes. Maybe he cast a disapproving glare once too often. This is a roughly 5 by 3 inches gel pen drawing on an old piece of envelope. I used a bit of the charcoal pencil also. Original Jones Art keeps looking in the mirror but that eye isn't there in northwest Austin, Texas. Well, not yet.
