The butterfly motif isn't one you usually equate with death in general, Karen, but I'm not going to say it isn't appropriate since it really does her costume justice here. I assume you muted some of the surrounding grocery store racks, etc., so she would stand out better. Really works. She looks like she's offering her hand in an invitation to dance. Given the theme, this seems very appropriate. Hope you are doing great. :)
Artist Reply: Charles a ‘catrina’ or female skull is always femenine, they use lace and other materials for it. Mexican culture use it a lot in the ‘day of the edad’.
