The saxophonist.
Watercolor painting. Early work. 1984

In my first years of painting, even if I took a museum course, I learned to paint, by myself using my own sources of inspiration. Enjoyed every minute of it, and needed it.

This artwork was done shortly before the start of my studies at Shankar College.

The inspiration was taken from the cover of a sheet music book to a certain extreme.
The music book belonged to my father.
(He had very many music books, in a huge drawer below my girl's bed)

I have written about inspiration several times during my internet years.

That time, the early eighties, when we didn't dream of the Internet and its possibilities...
My inspiration was taken from what surrounded me at home, my life. In addition, brochures, books, and encyclopedias were, in our apartment...
And also outside the apartment.

Thanks for the support over the years.
Wishing us all safe healthy years, in the privacy of our lives, our creations, and our relationships.
for more successful creation.
