Most people's faces are not truly symmetrical---the same on both sides. Eyes can be uneven, or ears, a nose lopsided. It used to be folks didn't think much about this, unless, of course, it resulted in something unsightly. Humans nowadays aren't happy with the oddest things. They find excuses to blame some physical blemish for things that blemish repair could never cure.. And if they can't blame asymmetry, they blame something else, like a neighbor who, for whatever reason, does not live up to his or her standards. I would ask where will all this end but there's really no answer. Oh, I'm rambling again. This is a 6.5 by 4.5 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil on heavy weight acid-free paper. Yeah, Original Jones Art has a tendency to be a bit verbose nowadays in northwest Austin, Texas. Maybe that's why I do the occasional 'WORD' painting.

It makes for interesting art though. Good one, Charles : )

Artist Reply: Thanks for saying that, Dave! Sometimes I wonder if I'm just spinning my proverbial wheels. Though, honestly, my days would have big holes if I left off this kind of work and THINKING about stuff related to the work. It's hot a blazes here today so inside is good, with my music and my drawing pad. Though I have been working on a couple of small paintings also this last week. :)
