This dark image was the brainchild of the band 00 Metro, titled after their song. "Bellied Up" is written on the EKG. This is one of three drawings I did for them incorporating the song title into the image. And yes, the song is equally dark. My friend Chris suggested I share the lyrics, so here goes: My body is dead but my eyes are awake, and don't try to talk to me 'cause your talk seems fake. And all these people keep hovering over me. Oh please God, just pull the plug and let me be. My memory's gone but I try to remember. And I said look at me now honestly people do you really think I want to be here? Well I don't. I said meditation time is over, leave your cards and things and grab up the thunder. It's my time, to let it go. I'm mechanically living for your security. When all I really want is simple purity. Believe me I've had my time throughout all these years. But I've broken down and worn out all my gears. My memory's gone but I try to remember.
