I think this is just lovely.. the charcoal is brown it seems, but that just adds all the more to its beauty. its really lovey... i mean its so subtle and simple. well done!
I am not sure who this is, or what specific culture this is from, but this painting draws me in and makes me want to learn more. It makes me want to explore parts of the world I have never seen, meet new people, and be enlightened by new ideas and ways of thought. The browns give this a timeless, historical feel, while the shadowed silhouette of the profile adds both grace and mystery to the character represented. Excellent.
