I started this one a little differently and discovered something. Using charcoal pencil (or at least the ones I have) to sketch in to start is okay if you don't mind it staying on the paper forever. Now, mind you, I read that graphite is the most permanent writing utensil out there and, if you look carefully, you'll notice it doesn't erase 100 percent but it's usually not as noticeable. Just saying. Of course, one 'could' create a sort of 'shadow technique' to actually complement this effect. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen, charcoal pencil and color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. It's Original Jones Art's promise to add a bit of color after days of black on white here in northwest Austin, Texas.
