A beautiful African woman from Ghana, dressed in the typical Asian kimono and decorative accoutrements of a Japanese geisha but using African fabrics such as Kente cloth . . . because culture and clothing are actually universal and much closer to being the same than they are different—once you realize we all spring from the same well of humanity. I make no apology for this “cultural appropriation”. It’s where the world is—or should be—headed: universal acceptance of each person’s uniqueness within the overall understanding that “we are all one.”
