Blooming fields

When I was a teenager my family got a summer cabin. Our closest neigbours, a family of sheep, suddenly became my best friends and I could spend hours just watching them go on about their days. Every weekend from early spring to early autumn we would stay there. Soaking in the time away from the towns and stressed people. I would pack my back pack filled with books and I would disappear. I found a spot, behind a little shed we kept firewood in and watch the field in front of me, blooming in the summer breeze. Twice a day, midday and early dusk, my neighbours would walk out into that field in a line like small ducklings following their mother. Acrylic painting on canvas board. Primed and signed. Size: 30,5 x 22,7 cm or 12 x 8.9 in
