This piece resonates with me. Maybe it's a mixture of being bummed and numbed by all that has happened, and all that hasn't, in 2020. This is an 8.5 by 5.5 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil. Maybe Original Jones Art is in need of a vacation from reality here in northwest Austin, Texas?

Stars and stripes is a familiar sight, but stars and buttons not. I think there's something mean on his mind and even though he's popeyed, the ambience looks musical to me. He must be preparing for his final bang on the piano or drums.

Artist Reply: Actually, Nikolay, he has a cornet behind his back. How on earth did you ever guess? And he IS mean. He plays dreadfully out of tune and enjoys it. Hope all is good and the hangover doesn't hurt too bad today. ;)

I have never been this awake while numed. I have a lot to learn.
