I think my penchant for drawing face after face lately, though of course in my style, has more to do with the dearth of faces I am seeing on a daily basis. The faces/heads I see nowadays are largely of the 'canned' variety. Many are of those I would not wish to see or visit with personally, I'll add. These are more of the 2 by 1.5 inches sticky drawings using my usual gel pen. They are done rapidly without a lot of thought. This could be ascertained as a negative or positive depending upon the viewer and what that viewer 'expects' from the sketching process. As the artist, I expect honest creation without undue elaboration. So this is Original Jones Art coming at you just after a wonderful cool front in northwest Austin, Texas.

Really good art here Charles, #6 is my favorite. Looking forward to checking out your portfolio later.

Artist Reply: Thanks, David. I don't know what I'm going to do when I run out of those small notepads. I could probably upload one of these collections every day since I'm always adding to them. Glad to see you back though the status is still quoing here on AW. What did someone say recently? Oh, yes. "It is what it is." :)
