This is one of my free-flow of consciousness drawings. Many times they are less about 'something' and more about a mood. I almost threw this one away. When I looked at it more carefully I saw that it captured a lot of what we've all been feeling lately. And, since the expression of feelings is something of a goal of mine, I thought I would share. This is a 5 by 3 inches gel pen drawing on medium bond paper and, quite possibly, another anxiety-ridden example of Original Jones Art as he wanders from room to room trying to keep at least six feet away from himself in northwest Austin, Texas.

expressive. reminds of some designs of Makonde tribe ebony carvings named as "jamaa" (family).

Artist Reply: I have several hanging masks and statuettes from Africa that i really like, Nikolay. I recently picked up a rather large piece of five guys sitting around what looks to be a large pot that was all carved from one continuous piece of wood. Now that's craftsmanship! I used to do this style of drawing more often than I do nowadays.
