This painting is an "in-depth" depiction of one of the people featured within a continual study as I attempt to "process" of comprehending what happens to those who involuntarily migrate from their homelands. This image also reflects what the man "left behind", a life of comfort. Like many, he is not merely leaving to find work...but, to SURVIVE!
