I've read about these Caterpillars, turns into an Ugly hairy Moth, very dangerous much worse then a Bee venom, have had people go to Emergency & stay in the Hospital for Anti venom,Wow,Amazing Joanie, you found ,they are mostly eating off Oak & Elm Trees, this is the first time I've seen one,but then again I've only seen one live rattlesnake in the wild & only recently, this is got to be a real find for you

Artist Reply: THANKS AL. YES, RIGHT AFTER I SAW IT AND LOOKED IT UP ,HAD A REPORT ON TV ABOUT A WOMAN WHO ACCIDENTALLY TOUCHED ONE AND HAD TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL. ALL IN LESS THAN A WEEK.

What a very intriguing photographic find Joanie. Reminds me somewhat of a fox's head, or a relic from a Native American tribe.

It has a cocoon-like shape and a well-defined 'part' in its hair/fur. I haven't a clue regarding the two globules or the tiny white 'flowers' protruding. You found us something interesting to view and ponder, Joanie. For that I thank you. :)

Artist Reply: THANK YOU SO MUCH CHARLES. GLAD TO SEE YOU LOOKED IT OVER GOOD. WHEN IT MOVED SLOWLY THE "NOSE" PART WAS SOMEWHAT POINTY AND THEN BACK.

Marie josé LAURIER 11 Nov 2018

MAY BE A FUR STOLE ??? NICELY CAPTURED ..

Artist Reply: IT'S A SMALL AMINAL. HE WAS ON MY HOSE REEL. HE MOVES VERY SLOW LIKE A SNAIL DOES. BUT HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT.
