In October of 2006, I did a similar piece that a 4th grader christened 'The Love Bird.' I thought I'd try my hand at a larger version with the new formula. It is approximately 15.5 inches tall. I am gearing up for a 3D show in the fall so more Original Jones Art of the three-dimensional variety is required here in Austin, Texas.

Artist Reply: Yes, in a way, Stan. I was going to use 'autonomous bird' but thought that since self-contained suggests 'container' and is something of a synonym, it might be a better fit. Thanks for commenting, as always. :)
