While I was walking to the supermarket on February 3, 2018, in Baltimore City, Maryland- I was surprised to see a tree mostly filled with brown Autumn leaves. The majority of the other trees were bare- as is normal during the Winter season. I used my smartphone camera to produce this picture.

SOME TREES KEEP ALL THIER DRIED LEAVES UNTIL SPRING .. I GET ONE COVERED WITH SNOW THE CONTRAST IS RATHER NICE ..

Good catch. That type of tree doesn't usually retain leaves.

Here in VA we call them White Oaks and they keep 25-50 percent of their leaves on til the Spring. Then you have to rake again! Hate those trees!

GORGEOUS CAPTURE, VERNONETTE !! I NOTICED THE SAME HERE, BUT I THINK THESE TREES HAVE BEEN BURNT BY THE SUN LAST SUMMER AND THAT FINALLY THEY DID NOT LOST THEIR LEAVES !!!
