Oil on canvas panel, 30 x 20 cm. Depicts local Bernese Pre-Alps with the Ochsen (Oxen), the main peak , with the Louigrat in front (the easy ascent route to the Oxen), the Burglen on the left (snow covered pyramid) and the Gantrisch ca 2200m) at the left edge of the painting. My palette contained, cd.yellow, y.ochre, white,, manganese blue, blue-black, b.umber and orange. Greens were mixed. This is my local escape to the solitude of the peaks.
