I find it amazing how images appear when viewed through rain. Do many of us ever stop to consider how refraction of light by rain effects how we see things around us? This colored pencil painting is the second in a series that looks at this effect of rain through the eye of art. The piece, entitled "City Rain", is based on a photograph that I took on a recent visit to Chicago, Illinois and its Museum of Natural History. It is done on museum quality Grafix drafting film using Farber-Castell Polychromos and Marxhall pencils. The size of the artwork is 11 X 14 inches.
