This is a colored pencil painting that I did after we returned from a recent trip to Galena, Illinois. It was a rainy day and while we were having lunch, raindrops had collected on the car windshield. As we sat in the car looking through all the drops, we realized that what we were seeing was an alternative reality of what was actually outside our car. I took a photograph of the scene we were seeing and this photograph is the basis for the painting entitled "Through Raindrop". The piece is done on museum quality Grafix drafting film using Farber-Castell Polychromos, Dick Blick, and KOH-I-NOOR pencils. The size of the artwork is 11 x 14 inches.
