A color pencil painting done on Grafix drafting film with a matte surface on both sides. The painting was done with Prismacolor Verithin colored pencils. The impetus for creating this painting comes from my scientific background and my love of coffee. Dimensions are 8 X 10 inches.

Without caffeine, I would be nothing! It is my main addiction, besides s.. and love! This is a cool title and an awesome presentation, Will! Keep up the excellent art you create out of the depths of your imagination/mind!! My best, Mark Kokopelli

Artist Reply: Mark: Again, thanks so much! I love coffee and drink way too much! But it doesn't keep me up and my hand doesn't shake when I'm working at my art table! Besides this, my science background lead me to this cup and shouted to me to do a still life based on it and coffee itself. Let's go have a cup! All the best, Will

What a Whole lot of Quality work ! Coffee chem. Looks So Great !

Artist Reply: John: sorry I've taken so long to reply to this one! I over looked it for some reason and just found that I owed you a reply. Thank you so much for your kind comments. I love coffee and because of my science background, when I saw this cup, it shouted out to me to build a still life painting out of it and coffee itself. Let's have a cup right now! Best regards, Will

This is absolutely incredible !!! At first sight I believed this was a photo !!! You are very talented with your pencils, Will!!!!

Artist Reply: Marie-Claire: Thanks so much. I really appreciate hearing your opinion. I do try to make my paintings look as much like a photo as I can. The Dura-lar polyester film really helps with getting this look. I used rubbing alcohol on a Q tip to get the look of steam coming off the coffee. The alcohol takes off as much of the colored pencil as you want. I first used the colored pencils on the film with the "Half caf Coffee" painting. It was done on a 4 inch X 5 inch scrap piece of film. I've never used anything else since. Thanks again for your comments. Best regard, Will
