Marley, 24x20 oil on canvas

This beautiful Springer Spaniel was fun to paint. After spending the afternoon photographing her in every possible position, the owner chose this pose. The client commissioned the portrait because she almost lost Marley after the dog swallowed a corn cob...whole, which had to be surgically removed!
