Ang Jackson (b. 1948) // National Geographic, 2011 // Sony - Cyber-shot RX100 II 20.2-Megapixel Digital Camera - Black || Antiquing can be more than just a hobby. For some people, it’s a lifestyle. Just ask Ang Jackson, founder and CEO of Junk? In My Trunk, LLC. “I first started antiquing when I was seven years old,” Jackson revealed in a recent phone interview. “My mother was late picking me up from baseball, and I wandered over to a garage sale to see if they had any Hot Wheels. When she came for me, I had filled an old wooden milk crate with more than fifty pieces of engraved silverware, and I begged her to buy them. I was hooked.” Thirty years later, Ang has accumulated enough time-battered collectibles to nearly fill his three-story home. “Even this house is an antique, technically speaking,” he explained. “I see it as anything that’s more than a century old. Some people are antiques, but I don’t think it’s legal for me to collect them.”
