This piece began as a pure abstract but after several days it became apparent to me it was missing something so it became what it is. This is a 16 by 20 inch acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas. Original Jones Art from Austin, TX. Addendum: This piece was purchased by a good friend of mine mid-2018. I wonder where she hung it? :)

Now that is cool beautiful the mynah actually draws the viewer into the picture

Artist Reply: One reason I have trouble with non-objective color study work, Ray. And why I thought my original abstract needed a little something extra. If you don't know, the Mynah bird came from an old Charles (Chuck) Jones cartoon. He could have been in as many as three. Thanks!

MAGNIFICENT Abstract And The Mynah Bird !!

Artist Reply: Thanks, John! I'm still working on an acrylic version of 'Bird With The Cloud Connection' and should be done pretty soon. I know you are working on something too, my artistic friend. :)

I adooore. Like your abstract work very much, but this funny and weel done guy caught my eyes today !!!!!

Artist Reply: Thank you, Stefani! This character was in 5 Looney Tune cartoons starting in the early 1940's. I had a sketch of it on my drafting table right next to my easel, so merely added it to the abstract I had been struggling with. This is an unusual piece for me, to be sure. :)

I guess you wanted me to leave a comment, Dr. Charles. This work "pops." -Chef Felipe

Artist Reply: Always feel free to comment, Felipe. BUT only when the spirit moves you to do so. :)
