A Building in Dept. of Hydraulic Engineering

This painting was made when I was in Fine Art Class of our school. This painting fully demonstrated rich light and shadow changes in the bright afternoon sunshine, the vivid waves and reflective images in the lake, and a sense of depth and space between near and distant objects. The painting won the score of 5-.

WONDERFUL WATERCOLOR WORK YANRONG... JOANIE

Yanrong! What an amazing water colorist you are! You have a truly wonderful use of brush technique and your wet on wet areas are clean without becoming muddy. I appreciate how flexible you are in such a difficult medium. Two very distinct styles are your landscapes and then your portrait of your father. It's really incredible! Well done!!

Artist Reply: Deborah, thanks for your nice words. You're a more accomplished acrylic painter than me in water color. Your works cover so broad subjects and are very delicate. I think I may learn and try this medium some day.
