In summer 2000 we drove from Diepropetrovosk in eastern Ukraine to Crimea. We drove for hours past the golden cornfields that pitched well in the wind. This is Europe's richest agricultural areas consisting of a 6 meter thick black earth belt that should provide enormous revenue to the people of Ukraine. In attendance are a few potted income in their pocket. The population is therefore still poor but the most welcoming and best people I've ever met in my life. Now it's war areas and my heart bleeds for these beautiful people.
