This is a portrait of my dog Paco Bandito. Liquid watercolor on a semi absorbent base combining conventional brushwork, airbrush and other techniques.

YOU ARE AMAZING WITH THE WATERCOLORS AND THE BELOVED CANINE.. JUST "OUTSTANDING" WORK PETER.. JOANIE

Artist Reply: Thanks for the comment Joanie. I have only just started using Winsor & Newton liquid watercolors that I purchased over 25 years ago. They were still in perfect condition as they had not even dried out.Alas Winsor & Newton no longer make the liquid watercolors so I don't know what other product to use that matches their great quality.I have always used Winsor & Newton gouache paints but I thought I would try something different just to see how they worked out.I am more than happy with the results combined with a semi absorbent ground but I wouldn't have a clue how to use them with the usual absorbent ground.I would be completely lost with that technique although I might try it at some point. Thanks again Regards Peter
