I was given two drawings by a mother who knows my art and thought I would like them. The drawings are by a 3rd grade girl. This is my re-do of the first one. I used felt-tip, w/c pencil and gel pen. Image area is 7 by 5 inches. Original Jones Art trying to think like a third grader in northwest Austin, Texas.

I like the drawing on the bottom you kept it simple charles

Artist Reply: Thanks, Ray! Yeah, I thought I stayed true to the original image/idea pretty well; I just dressed it up a little. I added the CJ landscape, of course, to give it sense of place. :)

Artist Reply: Well, at the time, I thought it was an unusual composition/being for a child of her age to come up with. I still think that. I thought she would get a kick out of the fact that an adult would care enough to do a 'tribute' piece based on hers. Obviously, I thought wrong. Ha. :) PS: You are a funny guy, Elton.

Artist Reply: Can you believe that the original artist preferred hers over mine, Rebecca? :)
