Finch's Garden2-Oval Frame

Click on my Video Tab to see a short Slide Show of this Watercolor from Sketch to Completed Frame. Inspired by the lovely rose garden at Fair Havens Bible Conference near Bearverton, Ontario. A whimsical interpretation now framed. When choosing a verse for this painting I was thinking of all the beauty that surrounds us on this earth that lifts our hearts in spite of the many sad or ugly things that cross our paths in our journey through this life. It also takes our thoughts forward into the heavenly realm and the joy of God’s dwelling place where we too can forever dwell with the Lord Himself and all that He has prepared for us. This amazing comfort and hope is offered to all, as a gift. (John 3:16)

Artist Reply: Thanks so much John for your kind words and wonderful feedback. I loved painting this one, especially so since it was for my dear Mom's 90th. Sorry for the delay in responding, but am slowly trying to get back into the swing of things. It is a very slow recovery, but I am thankful for even the smallest progress. Have a great day. Blessings, Jan.
